IDENTIFYING CLOVER
Clover is a very common perennial weed that can be found in lawns throughout the midwest. Clover leaves have three leaflets at the top of a leafstalk 2 to 4 inches tall. During summer time clover will develop white or pink-tinged flowers, attracting bees to the lawn floor. As clover reproduces and spreads it suffocates lawn grasses, resulting in large patches of clover. Clover produces its own nitrogen and thrives in lawns that are low in plant nutrients.
