IDENTIFYING TALL FESCUE
Tall fescue is a very coarse, tough medium-dark-green grass that will invade thin areas of the lawn and not let healthy grass grow around it. This perennial grows in tall clumps with large blades and will ruin the look of a lawn. Tall fescue is a cool-season grass that grows most vigorously during cool spring and fall months and is very well-suited to northern lawns.
